The Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has successfully arrested Chike Nosa Agada, an unlicensed foreign exchange dealer, on allegations of a N2 billion fraud. Agada, a 37-year-old individual from Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, was previously declared wanted by the Commission on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, for purportedly obtaining money through false pretense and conversion theft amounting to N2 billion.
The arrest occurred at a residence in Bourdillon, Ikoyi area of Lagos on Monday, October 16, 2023, as part of a sting operation conducted by EFCC operatives. The action was based on credible intelligence linking him to the alleged fraudulent activities. A mobile device was recovered from him during the arrest.
Upon the conclusion of the investigation, legal charges will be brought against him in court.
