EFCC arrests 25 suspected internet fraudsters in Makurdi

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Makurdi Zonal Command, has apprehended 25 suspected internet fraudsters in a coordinated operation across various locations within the Makurdi metropolis.

The suspects were arrested on Tuesday, April 8, and Wednesday, April 9, 2025, following credible intelligence linking them to cybercrime activities.

Items recovered during the operation include three cars, three motorcycles, five laptops, and 22 mobile phones.

According to the EFCC, the suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
