EFCC arrests five suspected internet fraudsters in Makurdi

The Makurdi Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained five individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in the Makurdi metropolis, Benue State.

The arrests took place on Thursday, November 23, 2023, based on credible intelligence indicating their alleged involvement in cyber-related offenses.

The apprehended suspects include Stanley Tochukwu, Desmond Tochukwu, Dennis Emeka, George Ebuka, and Arinze Odo.

Among the items seized from the suspects are phones, a power bank, ATM cards, and a sum of cash. Once investigations are concluded, the suspects will be brought before the court to face charges.
