The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly nabbed a former commissioner for Local government Affairs, Aminu Ahmed Kanta in Jigawa State.
Sources revealed that Kanta was picked up on Monday in a special operation by the commission.
Confirming to AllNews Nigeria, an anonymous source said the ex-commissioner was taken to Abuja.
However, the reasons for his arrest has not been made known.
The EFCC has equally not made an official statement on the arrest.
Kanta had served the Governor Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar-led administration as Commissioner and Special Adviser respectively.
He was a Commissioner for Land and Regional Planning and a Special Adviser on Political Affairs at different times.
