Prince, Oriri Richard , on Saturday, April 11th, 2021, personally met with the people of Effium at their Odumoke settlement and after that, met with the stakeholders of Ezza respectively, all in Ado LGA of Benue State for Peace and Conflict Resolution Dialogue aimed at restoring permanent Peace amongst parties involved in the crises.
In the meeting were Chief Nicodemus Ekode, Chief Matthew Awo, Chief Livinus Odaa, Chief Joseph Egba, Chief Elom, Mr. Emeka Awuru, Sunday Ogali, Chinedu Eya and many other opinion leaders from the two Warren Communities.
Oriri in his remark, demanded that both Effium & Ezza in Ado LGA must embrace peace in the face of the ongoing crises in Ohaukwu, Ebonyi State which has migrated into Ado in Benue State. He further stated that, anyone found wanting, by indulging in acts capable of causing security tension in the land, would be ejected.
Oriri went further to appreciate the efforts of Ado Chairman, Chief Hon. James Ogaba Oche, in his untiring commitment to ensure that the Council maintain her continued stand in peace building across Ado despite the numerous challenges facing his administration and urged everyone to support Chief Oche for the greater good of the Council.
In their separate remarks, the spokespersons for Effium and Ezza, Mr. Linus Eya (Effium) and Daniel Nweze (Ezza), who spoke on behalf of their people, thanked Oriri for remembering them in their time of need and appreciated the financial assistance by Oriri to cushion the effect of the crises on their people. The leaders also assured Oriri of total peace in the land going forward.
