Gunmen masquerading in army attire have abducted High Chief Sobomabo Jackrich, popularly known as Egberipapa, from his residence in Usokun, Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Reports from sources close to the ex-militant leader indicate that the assailants raided his home at approximately 3 am on Monday, resulting in the fatalities of two of his aides before whisking him away to an undisclosed location.
One informant suggested that the abduction might have been orchestrated by military personnel, citing the use of army-branded vehicles, including an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC), during the operation.
