Governor Samuel Ortom has approved the appointments of four Principal Officials in the Office of the Deputy Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly Makurdi.
Those appointed are Mr. Paul Egwurube as Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker, Mr. Adah Alechenu Personal Assistant while Mr. Inalegwu Ujah Samuel from Ugboju-icho Ward of Otukpo local Government Area and Williams Sunday Agabi from Ogene-Ehatokpe Ward of Ohimini are Senior Special Assistants to the Governor in the office of the Deputy Speaker.
Governor Ortom in the letters of appointment signed by Secretary to the State Government Professor Anthony Ijohor SAN said the appointments were based on merits and calls for National Service.
Governor Ortom urged the appointees to mobilize their sterling qualities which singled them out for the positions to justify the confidence reposed in them.
Receiving the appointees on resumption, Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly Honourable Engineer Egli Johnson Ahubi said their nominations for the various positions were based on their track records and personal conviction on their abilities to contribute meaningfully to the performance of the State Assembly and Development of the State.
The Otukpo-Ohimini House of Representatives Contender Honourable Engineer Ahubi while congratulating the appointees said it was a beginning of good things to come and urged them to settle down quickly in rendering service to the State and thanked Governor Ortom for approving their nominations and the subsequent appointments for the various positions.
