Dayo Adeyeye, the Former Spokesman for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caretaker Committee and Ekiti State governorship aspirant in the recent primary election in the State has reportedly dump the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Adeyeye made this known to newsmen in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti state Capital south west Nigeria, that he left the PDP, a party to which he rendered invaluable service at the most trying period of its history, was because he needs to serve and make contribution towards the development of his community and the nation.

He said, as Expected, patriotic leaders of the PDP appealed to him to reconsider his decision in the light of his previous services and loyalty to the party, But said the issue was not about him as a person, but about the interest of the very many people who associate with him and more importantly the collective interest and future of Ekiti people.

He noted that where he is compelled to make a choice between loyalty to a political party and loyalty to his community, he will readily choose his community or state over the party.

He added that It is incumbent on him to resist and stop any unpopular agenda to put his kinsmen in perpetual enslavement, stating that after deep introspection and wide consultation with various stakeholders in Ekiti State, he decided to leave what he called Egypt and join hands with patriotic Ekiti people to board the train of the APC for the onward journey.
