Several dignitaries from all walks of life on Sunday in Abuja, gathered to honour and celebrate Ene Adikwu as she retires from her role as a director from the civil service.
The celebrant expressed her gratitude to God for the gift of life.
She extended her appreciation to the Nigerian government and its people for granting her the privilege to serve the nation meritously, culminating in her rise to the position of director at UBEC.
Ene started her educational journey in primary school in Jos and completed it in Niger State.
Subsequently, she pursued her studies at GTC Otukpo, where she earned her grade certificate. For her tertiary education, she attended the Advance Teachers College, Ahmadu Bello University (ATC/ABU), Kano, where she obtained her NCE and B.Ed.
Continuing her academic pursuit, Dr Adikwu pursued her master’s degree at the University of Nigeria, obtaining her M.Ed. She then proceeded to Benue State University for her doctorate degree in guidance and counseling, where she earned her Ph.D.
In terms of work experience, Dr. Ene fulfilled her mandatory one-year NYSC service in Kaduna at the National Primary Education (NPEC) and was subsequently offered employment after completing her youth service.
Driven by a desire to advance her career, Dr. Ene worked with the NDLEA as a counseling officer before being recalled to UBEC, where she eventually rose to the position of director until her retirement.

Francis Ottah Agbo, Former Member of the House of Representatives, the Executive Secretary of UBEC in Abuja, Retired AIG Paul Ochonu, Dr. Ogah Emmanuel, Mr. Mayowa Aleshin (Director, UBEC), Mrs. Grace Adzer (Director, NYSC), Prof. Alex Edeoja, Mr. John Edeoja, Mallam Adamu Gurama, and DDSP (UBEC), among several others.
