End Hunger Protest: Police open fire on protesters, reporters in Abuja

Police on Saturday opened fire on protesters and journalists at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja during an anti-hunger protest.

The protesters, mostly young people, were gathered for the third day of a 10-day demonstration against bad governance.

The heavily armed police arrived around 11:45 am and ordered the crowd to leave.

When the protesters did not comply, the police fired shots at them and the journalists on the scene.
