Ex-aide to former President, Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, on Tuesday, called on the international community to try President Mohammadu Buhari and the Chief of Army Staff, General Turkur Buratai over the killing of peaceful End SARS protesters at Lekki toll gate in Lagos on Tuesday evening.
The former Presidential aide said President Bihari and the Chief of army staff should be tried for crimes against humanity for directing the army to shoot at peaceful, unarmed protesters.
He said the international community cannot keep quiet anymore.
In a series of tweets Reno wrote, “General @MBuhari, and his Chief of Army Staff, Turkur Buratai must be tried for crimes against humanity for directing the army to shoot at peaceful, unarmed #EndSARS protesters at Lekki, Lagos, today. @BorisJohnson, @UKinNigeria, and @IntlCrimCourt you cant stay SILENT anymore.
“For the fatal shooting of peaceful and unarmed #EndSARS protesters, the international community should take the following actions:
•Refuse to lend money to Nigeria until #BuhariResign
•Refuse to sell weapons to Nigeria
•Cancel all visas for members of the @MBuhari junta.
“Just saw a video of @HQNigerianArmy sending more weapons and artillery than I have ever seen in my life, to fight peaceful #EndSARS protesters. Why are these weapons not at Sambisa to fight Boko Haram? China, you‘re complicit. You sold @MBuhari weapons to kill us. WE WONT FORGET!
“Today, General @MBuhari lost every legal and moral right to continue in office as Nigeria’s President. By killing unarmed #EndSARS Protesters, his junta is no longer legitimate. Soldiers of the @HQNigerianArmy and Police of the @PoliceNG, how can you shoot those fighting for you?
