Abia born entrepreneur based in the United State, Mr Akym Onyekwere has revealed that Nigeria will never remain the same after this End SARS protest that is gradually taking over the whole nation. He revealed this during a phone interaction with AFNEWS.
He stated that what is happening in Nigeria is as result of long bottled anger within the youths of the nation, “the youths are upset with the system, the system seems to be frustrating the youths and working against them. This frustration has been happening for a very long time, so what we are seeing today is something i expected a long time ago.
“It is important the government both at the federal level and state take this protest serious and address the problems of Nigerians before the protest goes out of hand. Another thing is that this protest is above SARS, this protest is about massive corruption in this nation, government deceit and more”.
When asked what he thinks government should do at this point, he advised;
No time to waste, the government should show Nigerians that they are serious about protecting the youths , providing for the youths of the nation and creating a future for them.
“The government need to immediately call Nigerian youths for a pally and show them effective plans which they will use to to correct all the wrong in this nation. The truth is that with the way things are going youths have no future in this nation except things change”.
Comrade Akym urged the protesters to remain non violence, to make sure they focus on the issues and not be distracted by attempts to break their ranks with thugs and hoodlums.
“Social media has enable the minority, the silenced and the powerless to have a voice. It is not going to stop,until the right things is done” he concluded.
