End SARS: Ortom to inaugurate Judicial Panel of Inquiry into human rights violations by police in Benue

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has reveal plans to inaugurate a Judicial Panel of Inquiry into Human Rights Violations by the Police in Benue.

Gov. Ortom in a tweet via his official handle disclosed that he has appointed former Chief Justice Adam Onum to Chair the process.

According to him: “Tomorrow, I will inaugurate a Judicial Panel of Inquiry into Human Rights Violations by the police, especially the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Benue State.

“The panel is to be headed by former Chief Judge of Benue State, retired Hon. Justice Adam Onum as Chairman.

“We must commit to honouring the reasons for the #EndSARS protests. As leaders, we must demonstrate in our actions that we have listened to our people who have taken to the streets to express their grievances. #EndSARS”. He added.
