End SARS: ‘We protested against violence, and they responded with more violence’ – Banky W

Veteran Nigerian Singer, Banky W, has reacted to the killing of scores of End SARS protesters at Lekki toll gate in Lagos on Tuesday night.

The “Jazi” singer lamented that the protested are protesting against violence but the security operatives responded with more violence.

“We protested against violence, and they responded with more violence. We spoke up about getting beaten, extorted and killed – they responded with more killing. Our hearts are broken but our spirits will never die.

#CrimesAgainstHumanity #EndSARS #EndBadGoveranceInNigeria,” he tweeted.

IDOMA VOICE had earlier reported that the Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu declared a curfew on the state, set to begin at 4:00 p.m. this evening.

Nigerians soldiers trapped the protesters around the toll gate on Tuesday evening. At least 15 were confirmed killed by witnesses and those beaming development from the scenes live on Tuesday night.
