Some protesters clamouring for the overhauling of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police Force, were seen with items suspected to be charms, in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital on Saturday.
The protesters converged on Panseke area of Abeokuta at about 8 am, before marching round metropolis.
Their placards with this inscription: “#Endsars, #Endpolicebrutality.”
The protesters marched from Panseke to Omida, Isale Igbein, then stopped at Ogun State Government House to express their grievances, but the state Governor, Dapo Abiodun, was not there to attend to them.
They later moved towards the palace of the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.
There was also a heavy security presence to ensure hoodlums do not hijack the peaceful protest.
