Leading Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, 2023 governorship aspirant in Benue State, Terver Akase, has once again shown that he’s an observant and caring leader.
The governorship hopeful has promised to pay the school fees of Ene John, a fast-rising female shoemaker.
Idoma Voice reports that Eneh, a 300-Level student at the Mass Communications department, Benue State University, said she ventured into the trade to make ends meet while pursuing her education.
She had called for support from all meaningful Benue sons and daughters and other good-spirited publics to make her business a bigger one that can help sustain her life and possibly provide employment for herself and other unemployed youths that would be willing to take the bull by the horn.
The story caught the attention of Akase, who applauded the young artisan for showing a good example.
Aside from promising to patronise her, the politician said he would be responsible for her next school fees.
His post reads;
My dear Ene John, your determination to raise funds to pay your school fees by becoming a shoemaker has won for you one supporter in me.
I will not only buy your shoes but also pay your next school fees.
The future of Benue State belongs to resourceful and industrious youths like you.
Ene is a 300-level student of Mass Communication, Benue State University.
Thank you Idoma Voice Newspaper for the story. I will reach Ene through you.
