Enone 2027: Opposition jittery over my rising popularity – House of Reps hopeful, Okoriko Abah
The Abah Okoriko Campaign Organisation, popularly known as the Enone Dream Team, has dismissed as false and malicious recent claims circulating on social media, which alleged unrest within the campaign and linked the House of Representatives hopeful to imaginary sponsorship schemes.
The claims, attributed to an online user operating under the name Stainlessbreeze Inyanda, were described by the campaign as “misleading, baseless and a deliberate attempt to misinform the public.”
In a statement, the campaign clarified that Hon. Abah Okoriko is a duly declared aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket representing Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadibo Federal Constituency. His bid, the statement emphasized, is driven by “vision, service, grassroots acceptance and personal conviction,” and not by any shadowy sponsorship or divisive agenda.
“The Enone Dream Team wishes to place on record that there is no unrest whatsoever within the Abah Okoriko campaign structure,” the statement read. “On the contrary, the campaign continues to enjoy growing support across wards, communities, youth groups, women leaders and party faithful who believe in his message of inclusive development and effective representation.”
The statement also noted that the allegations surfaced as Abah Okoriko’s popularity and acceptance among voters continue to grow. “This clearly exposes the desperation of opposition elements who are jittery about his rising profile and the widespread support he commands among the people,” it added.
The campaign organisation further dismissed claims that Abah Okoriko is sponsored by any incumbent lawmaker or political figure to destabilise other camps, describing such stories as pure fabrication.
“Our principal remains focused on his aspiration. His manifesto, which outlines a clear roadmap and practical plans for the development of the Enone constituency, will soon be unveiled for the people to assess, interrogate and embrace,” the statement affirmed.
The campaign urged party members, supporters, and the general public to disregard the unfounded allegations, emphasizing that the organisation remains committed to a “peaceful, issue-based and people-centred political engagement” ahead of securing the APC ticket and eventual victory at the polls.
