In an official announcement on Saturday, Arsenal have confirmed the mutual termination of Nicolas Pepe’s contract. The 28-year-old winger has bid farewell to the Emirates.
Pepe, an Ivorian international, has inked a brief contract with the Turkish club Trabzonspor.
After a loan spell at Nice in Ligue 1 last season, he returned to North London earlier this summer. However, it soon became evident that he did not feature in Mikel Arteta’s plans for the 2023-24 campaign.
Arsenal’s statement reads in part: “We can confirm that Nicolas Pepe is leaving the club. We have agreed with Nicolas to terminate his contract with immediate effect.”
