Former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville has slammed Arsenal over their 2-0 defeat last night at Newcastle.
Gunners further dashed the hopes of top four after a sloppy performance against Newcastle Monday night.
Neville said Arsenal is a team without the character to be in the Premier League top four.
The defeat put Tottenham in the driving seat to qualify for a Champions League place.
The loss at St James’ Park means Arsenal are two points behind their north London rivals, with one game remaining.
“I gave them the benefit of the doubt at half-time,” Neville told Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.
“That is a young team that doesn’t have the experience or the character. I never fully trusted them to get into the top four, to be honest with you, all the way through.
“But I thought they would come out in the second half and respond. It tells us where they are at.”
