EPL: Arteta names two Arsenal players who destroyed Man City

Mikel Arteta Commends David Raya and Gabriel Martinelli for Outstanding Performances

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has lauded two of his standout players, goalkeeper David Raya and attacker Gabriel Martinelli, following Arsenal’s Premier League victory over Manchester City on Sunday.

Arteta witnessed a crucial late second-half goal from Martinelli that secured a 1-0 win for the Gunners against Pep Guardiola’s side at Emirates Stadium.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Arteta praised David Raya for his exceptional performance: “[Raya] was excellent. The way he controlled the ball, how dominant he was and how high he played. I love players with courage, and David certainly has big ones.”

Regarding Gabriel Martinelli, Arteta emphasized his resilience and determination: “Another player with big ones too. The physios were not having it, and he said, ‘I am ready to go.’ [Leandro Trossard] got injured, and I looked at him, and he was already ready to go.”
