EPL: Guardiola returns to Man City after emergency operation

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has return to the Premier League club following his recovery from emergency back surgery due to “severe back pain” in Barcelona.

Guardiola assumed his role in overseeing training on Wednesday as the team readies itself for the upcoming match against West Ham this weekend.

The Spanish coach is anticipated to resume his position on the City bench after missing two matches.

During his absence, the reigning champions secured six points from two games under the interim management of Juanma Lillo. City achieved a late victory of 2-1 against Sheffield United, thanks to Rodri’s crucial goal, and also dominated Fulham with a 5-1 victory at the Etihad.

With 12 points from four fixtures, Manchester City maintains their position at the top of the Premier League table.
