Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has described his decision to leave Chelsea for Arsenal as the best choice he has made in his career.
The German international joined the Gunners in the summer of 2023 for a reported £65 million and is now in his second season at the Emirates Stadium. Under Mikel Arteta, he has become a key player as Arsenal aim to secure silverware this term.
Havertz’s transfer came as a surprise to many Chelsea fans, where he had a mixed reception despite his historic goal that secured their 2021 UEFA Champions League victory.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Havertz expressed his satisfaction with the move:
“For me, it’s the best thing I could have done. I’m so happy with the support of everyone who has helped me during my time here. I’ve only just started, and I hope to continue playing well and winning titles,” he said (via Tribal Football).
The versatile attacker has adapted to life in north London and remains focused on making his mark in Arsenal’s quest for success.
