Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has acknowledged he would understand if the Premier League champions decided to part ways with him following a dismal run of form.
City has managed only one victory in their last 10 matches, a streak compounded by a 2-0 loss to Juventus on Wednesday.
Currently, Guardiola’s side sits 22nd in the Champions League table, trailing automatic qualification spots by five points with just two matches remaining. Domestically, City is fourth in the league standings, eight points adrift of leaders Liverpool, who hold a game in hand.
Since taking charge of City in 2016, Guardiola has enjoyed immense success and had never faced such a stark downturn in performance. Notably, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach has never been dismissed from a managerial role in his career.
Speaking to his former Brescia teammate Luca Toni on Prime Video Sport, Guardiola remarked, “Do Man City send me home? If so, I go home.
“What can you do in life? Life doesn’t always go the way one wants.”
