EPL: Sir Jim Ratcliffe offers Manchester United Staff early bonus to resign

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, minority owner of Manchester United, is offering staff at the club early bonus payments as part of his efforts to reduce the workforce at Old Trafford.

Ratcliffe finalized a £1.3 billion deal for a 27.7% stake in United in February and aims to overhaul the club’s operations.

According to Mirror Football, the British billionaire plans to cut about a quarter of the staff as a cost-saving measure.

Non-playing and non-scouting staff were emailed on Tuesday, instructing them to return to the club’s offices in London or Manchester.

Those unwilling to return are offered the option to leave the organization with an early bonus, typically paid in September.

They have until June 5 to choose voluntary resignation, or they must return to the office by June 1.
