Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari over the alleged killing of some residents of Orlu, Imo State by the Nigerian military.
Several social media reports have claimed that many persons may have been gunned down by some men in military uniform believed to be Nigerian soldiers who attacked Orlu area on Monday.
The soldiers were said to be on a revenge mission after one of their colleagues was killed and his rifled stolen by members of the Easter Security Network.
The security outfit was founded by Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB.
Reacting to the ugly development, Fani-Kayode urged Buhari to send his military men after killer herdsmen and not ESN.
He tweeted, “The clash between soldiers and members ESN in Orlu, Imo state today has resulted in some deaths & this is unfortunate. I call for restraint on both sides. The soldiers ought to be deployed against killer herdsmen and not ESN. When will Buhari learn. Chidera Agu please stay safe.”
