Eunice Aghanya: Face of the ex-Police DIG’s wife assassinated in Benue

IDOMA VOICE has obtained the picture of Mrs. Eunice Aghanya, who was assassinated on Saturday by unknown gunmen in Benue State.

Eunice Aghanya is the wife of retired Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Mr Ibe Aghanya.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Catherine Anene, who confirmed the development, said the the victim was killed by unknown gunmen who stormed her Makurdi residence, behind Kismet Hotel, on Saturday afternoon.

The PPRO assured that investigations were ongoing to unravel the incident.

Until her death, the deceased was the owner of Euniland Bread, Makurdi.

Retired DIG Aghanya was a one time Benue State Commissioner of Police and later DIG in charge of Zone 2.

This development came barely two weeks after Dr. Terkula Suswam was assassinated in Anyii area of the state.
