Al Nassr forward Sadio Mane has sent a heartfelt message to Cristiano Ronaldo after the former Manchester United star missed a crucial penalty during extra time in Portugal’s Euro 2024 last-16 clash against Slovenia.

The match ended in a goalless draw after 120 minutes, but Portugal advanced to the quarterfinals thanks to Diogo Costa’s three saves during the penalty shootout.

In support of his club teammate, Mane posted a message on his Instagram story. The Senegalese star shared a screenshot from television showing Ronaldo in tears and wrote, “You remain a great champion! CR7.”
