‘Everybody dey fight for him pocket’ – Desmond Elliot under fire supporting Tinubu publicly

Desmond Elliot, a Nollywood actor turned politician, has come under fire for publicly proclaiming support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national head of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This comes after the actor shared a photo of Tinubu with business mogul Femi Otedola at an event on his Instagram page.

Desmond went on to claim that he is optimistic about the APC leader, saying that he is suited for the job and that they will stand by his mandate.

“Ready for the job… on your mandate, we shall stand,” he wrote.

Nigerians on social media reacted angrily to the news, blasting actor-turned-politician Desmond Elliot for backing Tinubu, citing his betrayal of the youths during the EndSars rally.

Others noted that they were not surprised as it seems as though the celebrities are now only fighting for their pocket.
