Former commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Delta State, Rev. (Mrs.) Omatsola Williams is dead.
Her death was disclosed in a Facebook post by an aide to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Ossai Ovie Success.
The deceased politician reportedly passed on Sunday night.
The Itsekiri-born politician hailed from Warri North Local Government Area of the state, where she was a founding member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Married to Chief Saka Adebowale Williams of Lagos State and blessed with a son, Rasheed Adebowale Williams, she was ordained a reverend of the Church of the Lord (Aladura) Worldwide (CLAW).
Omatsola served in four civilian governments, including the incumbent Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration, where she was appointed member of the Delta State Taskforce on Human Trafficking and Commissioner for Women Affairs.
