Come Friday, August 3 through Sunday, 5, 2012, the city of St. Louis, USA would go agog for the 2012 edition of Idoma Convention.
The convention, which is organized by the Idoma USA, is expected to draw sons and daughters of Idoma from all walks of like.
The Idoma Association USA is a registered 501C non-profit organization that aims to promote unity, culture, economics and educational growth among Idoma speaking communities in the United States and in Nigeria. We hope to encourage networking within our communities and be a source of moral and economic support to our members in their time of need.
The organization came together in 1995 through the efforts of Cletus and Agnes Agbo, John Ali, Gabriel Ogenyi, Sunday Julius and Helen Ekoja, Helen E. Ali, Alphonsus Ododo, Tony Ali, Sabo and Mary Ameh, Victoria Dama and Grace Dama-Ogwuche. The association members have been meeting annually since that time.
