EXCLUSIVE! Mike Okibe Onoja dumps PDP for APC

By Ladi Ogbe

One of the chieftains of the People Democratic Party in Benue South and former senatorial aspirant, Mike Okibe Onoja is ready to fold his umbrella.

The elder statesman, IDOMA VOICE exclusively gathered is set to join the All Progressives Congress, APC.

This development is coming few days after we also reported that the former deputy governor of Benue State, Steve Obekpa Lawani was set to also pitch his tent with the ruling APC.

A competent source hint this newspaper that Onoja, who in December stepped down for David Mark before the PDP primary will join the APC alongside over 3,000 others in no distant time.

“Onoja and Lawani have boarded the change train,” a source said, “as we speak, they have perfected their defection plans and will make in known anytime soon.”

Asked why Onoja decided to dump PDP, the source said he (Onoja) was betrayed after he backed out of the race for Mark, whose election was nullified by the appellate court recently.

“They will all make their intentions known during the flag off of Dan Onjeh’s campaign,” the insider further added.
