EXCLUSIVE! Ortom set to appoint next SSG from Idoma land to ‘please’ Benue Zone C

Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom is set to appoint someone from Benue South senatorial zone as Secretary to the Government of the State, SSG, IDOMA VOICE can report.

This, according to sources was one part of the arrangements during series of meetings before Ortom eventually joined the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Wednesday.

A close insider said the governor was during the meeting ‘trashed verbally’ for marginalizing the zone and giving juicy appointments to his kinsmen.

According to reliable sources, five persons have been penned down for the post, with daughter of a popular politician from the state topping the list.

Among those penned down for the appointment alongside the woman, who is equally married to a popular politician, were a prominent chieftain of the party from Ogbadibo, two persons from Igede part of the state and one other person from Apa LGA.
