Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland, Alex Anozie is dead

The Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland and President of the Non-Indigenes Traditional Council of Ibadan, Oyo State, Mr. Alex Anozie, has passed away.

At 74 years old, Anozie reportedly passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence in Ososami, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

Anozie hailed from Igboukwu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

A close associate confirmed that the deceased showed no signs of illness before his passing.

“He lived his life in Ibadan and significantly contributed to the economic development of the ancient town. He passed away on Tuesday peacefully in his sleep at his Ososami residence in Ibadan, the state capital.

“His body has been transported to his hometown, Igboukwu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State for the final burial,” the associate said.

Alex Anozie was also the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CONAC Optical Company in Ibadan.
