News went viral on Thursday that Dr. Ken Pela of the Labour Party had been declared the winner of the Delta State governorship election.
Pela and Sheriff Oborevwori battled it out during the last governorship election in the state.
INEC Returning officer announced that Oborevwori polled a total of 360,234 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressive Party (APC) who scored 240,229 votes.
Kennedy Pela of the Labour Party came third with 48,027 votes, while Great Ogboru of the. All Progressive Grand Alliance came fourth with 11,021 votes.
Consequently, he went to the tribunal to challenge the result and the declaration of Oborevwori as winner.
His case at the tribunal was thrown out for some flimsy reason and he approached the court of appeal for redress.
