IDOMA VOICE reports that the Nigerian social media space was during the weekend awash with the news that former Delta State lawmaker, Ned Nwoko, was stopped from taking kid comedienne, Emmanuela as his sixth wife.
The report claimed that Emmanuela’s family turned down Mr. Nwoko’s proposal to marry the tenager, IDOMA VOICE reports.
How it started
A journalist, Darlington Chidera Ibekwe, was first to ‘break’ the news on his Facebook page.
Ibekwe claimed that Nwoko had approached the family of Emmanuella for their daughter’s hands in marriage but he was turned down.
“Emmanuella’s family shuns Ned Nwoko’s marriage list, informs him that Emmanuelle is not Regina Daniels.
“What exactly is wrong with Ned Nwoko? This isn’t ordinary honestly. – DCI Darlington Chidera Ibekwe.”
The post has since generated over 100,000 comments and reactions.
Kid comedienne reacts
In a swift reaction under the post, Emmanuela described the report as untrue.
She was reacting to a comment by one Peace Samuel, who claimed Ned was already receiving a marriage list from Emmanuela’s parents.
Reacting, Emmanuela simply wrote, “Fake News Ma. Thanks.”
Who is Ned Nwoko?
Born Prince Chinedu Munir Nwoko on December 21, 1960, Ned Nwoko as he is known is a Nigerian lawyer, politician and philanthropist.
He was a member of the House of Representatives between 1999 and 2003 representing Aniocha North-South and Oshimili North-South.
He is married to six different women from different countries. Out of these six women-only four are known, and that is his first wife, Barrister Lily Nwoko, his fourth wife, Lala Charani, his fifth wife, Lina Nwoko, and his sixth wife, Regina Daniels.
Conclusion
