News went viral on social media on Wednesday that Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of the Enlightened Christian Gathering church has thrown his weight behind the presidential ambition of Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
The news, which was widely shared by supporters of Obi, claimed that there is no power on earth that can stop Obi of Nigeria from becoming President in 2023.
The story, which was first shared on RantHQ Extension, quoted the cleric as saying that God is running for the President of Nigeria through Peter Obi.
The post reads:

The more you fight Peter Obi the more God will disgrace and expose you to the world.

Checks by IDOMA VOICE on social media pages of the clerics showed that there was nowhere he talked about Peter Obi or Nigerian politics.
A check on his official Twitter page showed that the last time the cleric tweeted was on Wednesday morning and his tweet read:
“Your debt has been paid, your past has been forgiven, your flaws have been fixed and your future has been filled with hope. Cling to Jesus in all things, He is your truest friend!”
Also a check on his official Facebook page showed that the cleric did talk about Peter Obi of Nigerian politics.
