Renowned Nollywood actor Tony Umez has vehemently denied the rumors circulating on social media about his supposed death. Taking to his Instagram page, Umez expressed his distress at the false reports and pledged to take legal action against those responsible for spreading fake news.
In a statement shared on his Instagram account, Umez acknowledged the influential role of social media in disseminating information but expressed disappointment in how it can be misused by some individuals for personal gain. He called on his followers and the public to exercise vigilance and rely only on information that originates from him or his official channels.
“I understand the power of social media and the impact it can have on spreading information. However, it is disheartening to see how it can be misused by a few to spread false news for personal gain.
