FACT CHECK: Is Peter Obi truly richer than Joe Biden?

The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, has given political analysts another topic for debate following his claim that he is richer than US President, Joe Biden.

The 61-year-old politician had claimed that he is richer than Biden, who is worth $8.9m because God had “over blessed” him.

The former Anambra State governor disclosed this while addressing his followers in the US.

WHAT IS PETER OBI’S NET WORTH?

Peter Obi has a net worth of $10 million according to multiple sources. He is one of the richest politicians in Nigeria.

On the other hand, Joe Biden earned $17.3 million over the four years he was out of office, but his net worth is only an estimated $8 million, according to Forbes.

CONCLUSION
Obi’s claim might be true is a successful businessman before entering politics, holding multiple managing roles in several businesses and corporations.

The former governor has advanced in both business and politics, amassed a reputation and wealth for himself, and his wealth provides him with nothing less than a pleasant life.
