An X (formerly Twitter) user, Crownthecook (@crownDcook), tweeted about Okorocha’s alleged death, saying, “Rochas Okorocha is de@d. May his soul Rest In Peace.”

Dr. Ebere Nzewuji, Media Aide to former Governor Rochas Okorocha, refuted the rumors, describing them as a “fake viral message” that began circulating on social media on the evening of Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Dr. Nzewuji confirmed that, at the time of the rumors, Senator Okorocha was present at his office in Unity House, Garki, Abuja, engaged in his regular activities.
According to the media aide, Okorocha had recently returned from Owerri, Imo State, where he attended the funeral of the late Elder Statesman Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu on November 1, 2024. Okorocha also hosted Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu and other members of the House of Representatives at his Spibat residence in Owerri.
Dr. Nzewuji assured the public that Senator Okorocha is in good health, continuing both his humanitarian work and private business endeavors. He urged the public to disregard the misinformation.
