Contrary to a viral video circulating on social media, claiming that four suspects responsible for the Otukpo bank robbery have been arrested, this is not accurate.
Multiple reports confirm that the video in question, showing around four individuals in a vehicle being interrogated, does not feature the actual suspects behind the Otukpo bank robbery in Benue State. The video, which has been widely circulated, is misleading.
The actual robbery in Otukpo resulted in several casualties, with armed men attacking four commercial banks. Victims included the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), SP John Adikwu, former lawmaker George Uloko, and others.
IDOMA VOICE can confirm that the suspect in the viral video were involved in a different incident. These individuals were accused of stealing a transformer on September 9 in Okpoga, Benue State, and are not connected to the Otukpo bank robbery.
