Fake soldiers arrested during sallah after robbing commercial driver in Otukpo (PHOTOS)

The Vigilante group of Nigeria, Igbanonmaje Otukpo chapter on Friday June 15th, 2018 during the sallah celebration arrested 3 impersonators of the Nigerian Army.

The Impersonators in collaboration with a commercial motor park driver reportedly broke the front windshield of another driver, robbed him of his cell phone and the total sum of N49,000.00 along Ahmedu Bello way Otukpo.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that an indigene of Otukpo, who is serving in the Nigerian Army but presently in town for a function confirmed the Identity card and pass shown by the 3 young men to be fake.

A security source disclosed to our reporter that ” we got a call from one of the motor park manager in the area explaining what happened to one of his drivers. We responded immediately, and arrested the driver related to the robbery whom we used to uncover the hideout of the remaining fake soldiers. After some interrogation from our intelligence unit, we found out that they were fake and also called on our brother who is a soldier who also confirmed them as fake soldiers. We would have loved to dig more into the case but at this juncture, we have to hand them over to the police to continue from where we stopped because it’s already getting dark and we don’t have a cell or permitted to keep suspects. ”

One of the suspects identified as “Smart” said that the commercial driver knocked him down with his car and refused to stop, so they had to follow him open and deal with him.

However, the local vigilante group handed over to the police the 4 suspects including the driver who gave the 3 fake soldiers tip.
