Family confirms Aduke Gold died of cancer

The family of the late gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, known as Aduke Gold, has disclosed the cause of her death.

According to reports, Aduke Gold passed away at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan on Monday, August 12, 2024.

Her sudden death prompted a range of reactions on social media, with fans and colleagues expressing their grief.

Shortly after her passing, rumors circulated that Aduke Gold had died during a fibroid surgery.

In response to these rumors, her brother, Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, clarified the situation in a widely shared social media video.

He stated that Aduke Gold died from cervical cancer, as confirmed by the death certificate from the hospital.

Pastor Aderogbo urged the public to verify information before spreading it, emphasizing, “Our daughter was ill with cervical cancer, and despite being taken to UCH in Ibadan, she unfortunately passed away. The circulating rumors are false.”
