Family cries out as woman suddenly ‘disappears’ from royal palace in Delta

The family of Stephen Okoi of Ugep, Cross River state, has cried out to the government and relevant authorities to launch full investigation into the sudden disappearance of their daughter, Mary Stephen Okoi at the palace of His Royal Highness, Igwe Ugbome II of Okpai Kingdom, in Delta state.

The missing woman, who is said to be married to Mr. Collins Okpo Ugbome of No. 45, Ujuju Street, Off Umusan Road, Kwale, Delta State and mother of two daughters namely: Louisa and Chisom, last known location was the Palace of her husband’s grandfather His Royal Highness, Igwe Ugbome II of Okpai Kingdom, Umuada Quarters in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State were the family went for Christmas on the 24th day of December, 2020.

Mary Stephen Okoi is from Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross Rivers State, Nigeria.

The family of Mr. Stephen Okoi are questioning the sudden and mysterious disappearance of thier daughter and mother at the Royal Palace of her in-laws whom she had not been in good cordial relationship with lately; bearing in mind the fact that the Palace has CCTV cameras and security operatives on guard 24 hours.

Explanations given to the family of Mr. Stephen Okoi by the Royal family as to the disappearance of Mary Stephen Okoi on the 24th day of December, 2020 is tainted with conspiracy and foul play which no reasonable and responsible individual would accept with regards to a human life.

The family therefore calls for a detailed investigation by all relevant law enforcement agencies, national and international human rights organizations to intervene and ensure justice is done for Mrs. Mary Stephen Okoi.
