Fans react as Sadio Mane plays on muddy pitch in his village

Senegalese international and football icon, Sadio Mane has stirred mixed reactions from people after he was spotted playing football with his childhood friends on his childhood training ground under the rain.

Sadio Mane who await the completion of his move away from Liverpool to Bayern Munich this summer took part in a football gala match in his native village, Bambali on the same pitch where he took his first step as a young footballer.

This act melted the heart of many considering the fact that Sadio Mane has played and scored in some of the best stadiums in Europe, yet he has no problem playing on the muddy pitch of his hometown village to the delight of his fellow-Bambali villagers.

Sadio Mane over time has been known for his act of humanity and generosity having funded several infrastructure projects in his native Bambali which include building of a modern hospital which also serves about 34 other neighbouring villages, a school, a supermarket among others.
