on

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun uploading results from polling units across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on the IReV portal. Early trends show the All Progressives Congress (APC) maintaining a strong lead in several wards, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is trailing.

Early Ward Results:

Gwarimpa Ward

  • APC (Christopher Maikalangu): 1,320 votes

  • ADC (Dr. Moses Paul): 618 votes

Key highlights: APC dominated Piwoiyi Primary Schools, Mabushi Primary School, and Gwarimpa Village Playground. ADC recorded notable votes in EFAB International School and Finance Quarters, Wuye.

Karu Ward

  • APC: 901 votes

  • ADC: 317 votes

Strong performances by APC include UNG. Hausawa II / Old Market Square (133 votes), Jikwoyi/Esu Palace Phase 1 (96 votes), and Faith Link Global Pharmacy, Old Karu Road (103 votes).

Karshi Ward

  • APC: 1,011 votes

  • ADC: 79 votes

APC’s lead is reinforced by Karshi I/Central Primary School (136 votes), Karshi IV/Kofar Gidan Liman (133 votes), and Kusaki Village Centre (131 votes).

Trend Analysis:

Early collation from these wards indicates APC is on course to consolidate the chairmanship in AMAC, while ADC faces an uphill battle to close the gap. INEC continues to upload results, and more wards are expected to report throughout the day.
