Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, better known as Nedu Wazobia, has shared a thought-provoking revelation regarding the outward appearance versus the true character of girls who belong to choirs.
During a conversation on Naija FM’s ‘Across the Bridge’ show, Nedu recounted a personal experience with a choir member he believed to be virtuous. However, he asserted that some girls in choirs might not necessarily reflect godly qualities.
Nedu narrated how a friend warned him against pursuing the girl due to her ungodly activities during night rehearsals at the church. Speaking in pidgin English, Nedu said, “I said I want to engage the girl. He said why? He said he gave me the girl to ‘chop’ [slang for having sexual relations]. I said no, the girl is a virgin. He shouted, ‘Which virgin?’ He said sometimes during all-night rehearsals, they will be on stage. The girl has a guy that comes through the back. He said they will be at the back.”
He further explained, “Sometimes they will hear moaning sounds. When he goes nearer, he would hear the same moaning sound, but much louder. Is that one a virgin? My brother, fear every girl whey dey choir. But some are very, very wonderful.”
When asked by one of the hosts if only sisters should be feared, he replied, “brothers are the worst.”
Nedu’s candid remarks sparked discussions about the complexities of human behavior and the importance of not making assumptions based solely on appearances. As the conversation circulates, it serves as a reminder to exercise discernment and not judge individuals solely based on their affiliations or outward image.
