Federal University Otukpo announces 4-year free tuition for Mathematics students
The Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), Benue State, has announced a landmark offer of four years of free tuition for students enrolling in its Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Mathematics programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to a statement issued by the university on Thursday, the special initiative is aimed at encouraging young Nigerians to pursue careers in mathematics, which it described as the “foundation of all scientific and technological development.”
The university explained that the tuition-free policy is open to candidates who scored the required marks in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as well as applicants willing to change their course or institution to study mathematics at FUHSO.
“Mathematics remains the bedrock of science. We are determined to revive students’ interest in this critical discipline by removing the financial barriers that discourage many from pursuing it,” the statement read in part.
