‘Finally it’s settled: Idoma to produce the next governor of Benue state’

As the call for a Benue governor of Idoma retraction continue to gain momentum, almost every political headline from Benue State keep pointing towards that direction.

A yet to be confirmed report has it that the governorship has been zoned to Zone C which consist mainly the Idomas and a sprinkle of Igedes and others.

According to Comrade Ankeli Oche Abel, a former Zone C students leader and political activist, it has been settled for Zone C to produce the next Governor. Though, he did not provide additional information to back his claim.

He however, promised to bring update on the story.

“Finally it’s settled: zone c to produce the next governor of Benue state,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

IDOMA VOICE recalls that former Benue state Governor and Senator representing Benue North East, Senator Gabriel Suswan, last year stated that the only way the Idoma can produce Governor was through consulting with Tiv stakeholders like himself, Governor Samuel Ortom, Sen. George Akume, and others.
