Fire guts BRT in Lagos (Photos)

Reports has it that one of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses operating in Lagos State suddenly caught fire on Friday at Agric Bus Stop, Ikorodu and totally burnt down.

A trending video showed people scampering for safety.

The incident led to a gathering of people who stood by the roadsides and watched from a safe distance as the bus burnt.

It was gathered that no life was lost as all passangers alighted before it burnt out.

According to eye witness, ‘Street urchings popularly called ‘area boys’, stopped passers-bys, from putting out the fire as the excuse gathered was that they were angry because of what happened to the 22 year old fashion designer, Ayanwole Oluwabimise, who was found dead in Lagos after boarding a Bus Rapid Transit, BRT, bus heading to Oshodi from Chevron bus stop, Lekki.
