Fire guts Nigeria distilleries in Ogun

The Nigeria Distilleries Limited (NDL) at Singer bus stop, Sango-Ota, Ogun State has been gutted by fire.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that the fire outbreak started around 2 pm on Wednesday.

As at the time of filing this report, the fire, which its cause is yet to be ascertained, is still ongoing.

An explosion happened in the facility 8 years ago which led to the death of four persons while 20 others sustained various degrees of injuries.

In the incident that happened in 2013, reports have it that the broiler of the distillery unexpectedly exploded spewing hot water on the workers handling the machine.

The four workers died on the spot with their mangled remains scattered all over the floor of the boiler hall.
